Our R&D laboratory’s final aim is to design redunded fault-tolerant systems at each level foreseeing hardware Hot-Swap criteria, automatic system updates, tested software and design solutions, online self-monitoring and diagnostics systems, disk-less controller.

Moreover, MASSO IND precedes all Laboratory test, supporting itself with a customized software (MIST) designed by our engineers.

MIST can configure and set the cards housed in the system in order to work in “Automation check” ; this state is also thought in stage of commissioning and for this “commissioning mode” the configuration upload lasts 20 seconds, same time needed to refresh the card in normal operation mode.

As MIST is directly connected to the farthest field device, Customer can simulate each command towards our system, operating and monitoring its real state and eventual warnings/alarms . ; all receipts of feedback, controllable also by Service Terminal, are virtual. Each moving timetable seconds it checks the correctness of the unit during opening and closing command.

This software is also able to “stress” a unit, giving it first opening command and then closing command with a settable timetable from 1 minute up to 2 seconds; this operation is useful for testing the inertial consumption.
